what are some good def plays to stop short pasess?
when ever i play i always get burned on the short passes and would like some help on how to to stop them .

sometimes the tight end with be blocking then he will become open on a slant and some others our like the 2 wr cross in the middle and they usually get open. and rb getting pasess on out routs and slants hel p me plz

what defenses are you running right now ?
maybe thats the problem... if your opponent mainly throws you should use a zone play like deep zone... everything from middle routes, streaks, and post routes can be covered successfully with that play... the flats are very vulnerable with this play.... you can go with the 2 man under play to stop the crossing WR's... if not then you can blitz... but blitz accordingly... not to much... if you come out in 2 man under you can call bump n run... and rush the QB with a DE that is fast... to get pressure... |

i use the saints def and i use nickel 43 quarter dime to stop the pass, what formation is zone play or deep zone, flats under?

the zone play deep zone will have a different name depending on whatever teams playbook you use...
its in the 34 playbook... that usually stops all passes... except for the flats... if you wanna cover the flats i use OLB fire i think its called out of the 43 formation... you have your outside linebacker rushing the QB and everyone else is in zone... this play covers the middle, deep and flats... you can get some pressure if you have a fast linebacker and if you move your line around... 2 man under can be found in all formations i believe... |

theres the problem now... lol
the playbooks for regular xbox and 360 are different... but i can describe it for you and you can look for it...lol you got 4 people on deep zones... your 2 safeties and two CB's... then you got two people on purple zones... and 2 more people on yellow zones covering the middle of the field... finally there are 3 Defensive ends... if you know its a passing situation just call pass commit and any streak, slant, short routes will be deflected or intercepted... a flat dump off will kill this or a qb rollout with a fast QB... |
