admin A member from our forums asked the question:
Whether it’s online play, offline against friends or computers. What are some of your tips for passing in Madden 12? (ie. Timing, progression, etc)
Reminisce, Lead Offensive Strategist, answers:
Timing and progression are extremely important. The schemes you use are extremely important as well. In every offensive strategy guide that I create, I pick to break down the best and most versatile plays, plays that can beat man, cover 2, cover 3, cover 4, blitzes, etc. The more versatile a play is, the better. Often times, if a play can’t beat multiple types of coverages, I won’t even break it down because personally I would never use it.
Sometimes it takes a few adjustments to make it more effective, but that’s what I spend most of my time on when creating the strategies that this site provides.
You want to run mainly plays that can generally beat both man and zone. Even better, you want to pick play that have routes in them that can beat man and zone so it saves you from possibly making the wrong read and messing up.
You also want to start reading the coverages of your opponent, and start noticing a pattern in what they are calling. Very few players constantly mix in different defenses randomly. For example, one person might love to run cover 2 or a certain blitz constantly until you prove that you can beat it. So chances are, if you fail to beat a coverage or blitz in one play, your opponent will most likely run that same coverage or blitz again.
That’s just a few pointers off the top of my head. In every play break-down in my guides, I try to show as many ways as I can possibly come up with to beat all kinds of coverages, and different little tactics to add emphasis to the plays. I also plan on releasing more specific strategy modules such as (ex. # “ways to beat Man Bump N’ Run”, or “# ways to beat Cover 4″, that way you can just watch these modules and it will help you build intuition as to how to adjust to that type of defense once you recognize it in an opponent.

admin A fresh infusion of talent by way of the NFL draft is the surest way your favorite team can build for the future. Why do you think we always debate the top draft classes and not the top free agency classes of all time? We get excited adding rookies to Madden NFL 12 too. Rather than tweaking and adjusting ratings for the same old veterans we get to build new guys from scratch, projecting how they’ll transition to the pro game. If only their coaches could do that. admin The NCAA Football 12 demo is now available for the Xbox 360 (can be queued up from here) and will be arriving for the PS3 when the store update takes place in the late afternoon/early evening. The download is a massive 2GB.
The demo features two separate matchups (Alabama at Florida State and Oregon at Texas) and allows for the unlocking of five different Nike Pro Combat jerseys for use with retail copies. There is also expected to be at least one “Tuner Update” created based on feedback to the demo that will influence the game prior to it officially releasing.
